GENERAL SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Accounting Supervisor, the incumbent will be responsible for accounts receivable, collections, and cash monitoring functions to include:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Daily processing of bank deposits and subsequent application on all cash receipts to customer accounts.
  2. Process all credit card payments.
  3. Contact customers with past due balance and maintain detailed documentation of such calls. (All customer contact should be documented in an electronic format and should be visible to accounting managers and key members of other departments including Customer Service and Sales.)
  4. Review daily credit hold reports to ensure the data continued in them is accurate and that appropriated action is taken to resolve any issues which arise from their publication.
  5. Maintain daily cash receipt logs.
  6. Track miscellaneous cash receipts.
  7. Monitor accounts for potential write-offs. Once identified, these balances will be referred to management (in accordance with established authority limits) and processed in Microsoft Dynamics 365 once the write-off has been approved.
  8. Serve as a liaison between customers, Customer Service, internal sales reps and other departmental managers to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction without compromising established credit and collections policies and procedures.
  9. Maintain copies of customer resale certificates as required.
  10. Ensure A/R files are periodically archived in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  11. Special projects as may be required or assigned.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSA):

  1. Must have strong Accounts Receivable and collection skills, including previous experience with integrated general ledger systems.
  2. High degree of computer literacy including the ability to design Excel models.
  3. The ability to maintain the confidentiality of financial data and results.
  4. The ability to work harmoniously within the Finance Department and with multiple departments within the company.
  5. Position requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. 1 3 years of industry experience. Experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.
